Today, our Year 1 families joined us for a special Learning Morning, stepping into the classroom and outdoor spaces to experience our Green Fingers topic in action. Through hands-on activities and shared discoveries, parents learned alongside their children while seeing the term’s learning come to life. It was a joy to celebrate our young learners’ curiosity, creativity and growing confidence together.

Our Year 4 residential trip to Hatta was filled with meaningful moments, fresh air, and plenty of adventure. Students challenged themselves through survival skills, rock climbing, abseiling, archery, and the maze challenge, building resilience and confidence along the way.

A visit to the Hatta Bee Farm deepened their appreciation for nature, while campfire reflections encouraged gratitude, humility, and connection. An enriching experience that supported personal growth beyond the classroom and created memories to last a lifetime. 💛

Our Year 1, Year 7, Cycle 2 and Cycle 3 students have proudly brought our urban garden to life 🌿

Through hands-on learning in composting, planting, nurturing, harvesting and packaging, students successfully completed their first batch of microgreens. Demonstrating strong collaboration and entrepreneurial thinking, they articulated the growing process to staff and shared samples of freshly grown radish, cress, mustard and arugula. This project beautifully reflects experiential learning in action, with curiosity, responsibility and sustainability at its core. Next stop: the Farmers’ Market — where our students will be showcasing and selling their home-grown produce. 🥬💚

Smiles, cheers, and lots of proud moments at our Early Years Sports Day last week. Our youngest learners had the best time getting active, trying new challenges, and cheering each other on. It was a lovely day filled with energy, confidence, and plenty of happy memories. Thank you to our wonderful staff and families for being part of it!

Our campus was filled with smiles and celebration as our Emirati students shared the joy of Hag Al Laila, distributing beautifully prepared goodie bags for their classmates to take home. This meaningful tradition brought our community together and gave our students a wonderful opportunity to learn, share, and celebrate Emirati culture.

Proud to be part of a truly inspiring day at the Taaleem Arabic and MOE Subjects Conference hosted at @jbschool_dxb. The conference was a valuable opportunity for educators to connect, exchange ideas, and reflect on our shared commitment to high-quality teaching and learning. Thoughtfully led by Dr. Imad Nasr and enriched by the expertise of Dr. Ziad Azzam, the day highlighted the power of collaboration and collective growth across the Taaleem schools.

Our recent poetry slam showcased an exceptionally high standard of performance, with students demonstrating confidence, creativity, and strong academic skill in spoken word and poetry. The judges faced a challenging decision as scores were extremely close across all categories.

Every student who took to the stage should feel proud; performing live requires courage, preparation, and resilience, and our pupils represented their year groups with maturity and distinction.

Congratulations to all our winners and to those selected to represent Dubai British School Jumeira at the Taaleem Poetry Slam on 11 February.
